Reporting to the SEO Manager, the Search Engine Optimization Specialist will be responsible for implementing and deploying SEO strategy.
He/she will work with the Search Engine Marketing Team, under the guidance of the SEO Manager, to implement search strategies and track the effectiveness of new and existing campaigns. The successful candidate will have strong analytic capabilities with specific knowledge of SEO/SEM and online marketing analytics.
The SEO Specialist is expected to produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting; assigned analytic projects; and produce independent analysis to help search engine strategy execution.
•Execute SEO technical analysis and evaluations.
•Define and measure SEO metrics & key performance indicators.
•Carry out search engine optimization site implementations.
•Research and resolve possible HTML code, content, (internal and external) link architecture and navigation issues.
•Analyze competitor and other industry websites aimed at identifying improvement opportunities.
•Assess proposed solutions for effective traffic building directives.
•Monitor, measure, and track search metrics, including trend analysis.
•Perform detailed program reporting, analyzing trends and developing ‘actionable’ insights for the search programs on a weekly/monthly basis.
•University education in computer science or marketing/communications preferred
•Participation in search optimization projects, including concrete examples of large scale production work and execution.
•Demonstrated experience executing proactive campaign-level optimization that anticipates both the Search Engine and Internet User.
•Self motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize daily work efficiently.
•Creative-thinker with excellent interpersonal, team, organization, and communication skills.
•Sound judgment and professionalism when corresponding with partners, managers and team members.

•Superior understanding of organic SEO techniques and search engine market best practices/guidelines.
•Website information architecture and layout design experience.
•Ability to execute programs given the multidisciplinary nature of optimization programs.

•Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
•Able to analyze metric data and convey/report observations and recommendations appropriately to Manager.
•Superior proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•HTML & CSS experience considered an asset.
•Complex link building experience and asset.
