The SEO Manager will own the definition and execution of CM’s SEO strategy including performance tracking and improvement. This role requires extensive digital experience in growing and converting online traffic in competitive and fast-paced industries.


  • Own the development and execution of the SEO strategy for a range of clients
  • Define search standards and guidelines, including ranking factors & weightings
  • Own the SEO team’s CM1 space; keeping it updated with projects & the latest news in search
  • Possess the ability to audit site architecture and content strategy and align with search strategy
  • Define search requirements and provide direction to copywriters, designers & other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with digital trends & developments (SEO, SEM, social, analytics, mobile, UX)
  • Develop a framework and reporting structure to track and improve search performance

Required skills:

  • 5+ years digital experience, ideally with multiple websites in an agency environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media, analytics & digital strategies
  • Demonstrated achievements in improving website search rankings and conversion
  • Strong technical understanding as it relates to search strategy early in a project’s development
  • Excellent business acumen; results-oriented team player with strong communication skills
  • Very strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage data to inform decision-making
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive targets & deadlines
  • Passion for staying current in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to build rapport; establish & nurture relationships with clients & stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities & mentorship qualities for analysts, coordinators & stakeholders
  • Ability to represent SEO best practices & recommendations in internal and client-facing meetings


  • In-depth experience with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools & Google Adwords a must
  • Working knowledge of BrightEdge, Adobe Omniture (SiteCatalyst) & (SEO)Moz an asset
