Senior UX Developer full-time

Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Web Design, the Senior UX Developer will analyze design and development requirements and provide efficient, streamlined, cross browser compatible, accessible and responsive solutions as a result.

Job Description:

The Senior UX Developer will be ready to develop their existing skills by working with creative staff and development teams on innovative projects and applications. In this position, you will have the opportunity to implement HTML, CSS and JavaScript to support web based user interfaces on standard browsers.

Qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years of hands on web user interface development experience. Proven experience on HTML, JavaScript, and CSS implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Code and test major features while collaborating with UX, engineering, product, and marketing.
• Review designs created by UX team and ask necessary clarifying questions prior to starting work.
• Collaborate with UX, engineering and product teams to consistently improve the user experience of our websites.
• Create innovative, engaging prototypes, templates, and staging sites using latest front-end technologies for internal / external review.
• Identify and troubleshoot website performance issues.
• Keep up to date on advancements in development industry.
• Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Skills required

• 5+ years professional experience in software development with front-end development emphasis.
• Proficiency in front-end coding and design (JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, SASS / Less).
• Strong Angular 2+, Redux and Typescript knowledge.
• Experienced in developing for mobile and responsive design.
• Experience with Bootstrap or similar front-end component frameworks with responsive grid system.
• Strong jQuery knowledge
• Sharp analytical abilities and ability to interpret and implement web design.
• Familiarity with Java/JSP & Node.js is a plus.
• Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience with analytics implementations and A/B testing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
