Success has allowed us to grow and expand our marketing efforts, so we’re looking for an expert visual communicator to help turn ideas into beautiful websites, supporting graphics, email marketing, advertisements, social media graphics, and more. There will be no shortage of opportunities to flex your creative muscles.

Being an expert with tools is important, but we’re looking for more than just a Photoshop wizard. We need an individual who can establish appropriate art styles, demonstrate strong typographic skills, and understand core design and layout principles.

In addition, the ideal candidate will also have a strong grasp on basic web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. He or she will be able to think of great front-end user interactions, and make them a reality through clean, efficient code.

Responsibilities

• Art direction and execution of graphical assets for a variety of digital environments and applications

• Assist in the planning and creative process for projects large and small

• Design and production of print or physical media from conception to completion

• Adhere to established brand standards, and help formulate and define new ones

• Front-end web work including but not limited to: website content and graphic updates, user interaction and interface improvements, web layout changes, etc. through the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

• Keeping a finger on the pulse of the industry and the competitive environment

• Help establish deadlines and budgets, and meet them

• Work with and be the point of contact with third-party vendors when required

• Mentor junior graphic designers

Requirements

• An eye for pixel perfection

• Demonstrable expertise with graphic and web creative asset production

• Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite apps and other creative tools

• Mid-to-high-level front-end proficiency with web design concepts and languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (PHP is an asset)

• Ability to think strategically and design under constraint

• Ability to multitask and work on multiple ongoing projects

• Proven aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team

• Understand marketing and communication strategies and how targeted design can fulfill business needs

Starting Compensation

• $60k–$75k/yr. - More for exceptional candidates
