Sales Manager full-time
The primary functions of the Sales Manager are to plan, solicit, book and coordinate national, non-annual group business in the areas of room sales and food and beverage. They are responsible for making sales calls; developing and recommending any ideas or solutions to improve the sales and marketing operation; prospecting new markets and new group business; and performing any additional tasks or assignments as directed by the Director of Sales. Solicit, negotiate, and book new and re-book repeat business through various efforts (telemarketing, personal sales calls, site inspections, mailings, referrals, etc.) to maximize room and catering revenues to meet/exceed goals.Maintain accurate, legible client contact records and files to ensure current and future quality service and enhance future prospects. Participate in community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales and attend industry trade shows on an as needed basis to increase and develop business. Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
