Public Relations Specialist full-time
The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for identifying and producing the articles, videos, photographs and other communication content that will supports GPRC’s vision and connect our students, community and industry to our brand.
Working as part of the Communications and Marketing team and across the External Relations Division, the Public Relations Specialist will build relationships and connections across the organization, in the community and throughout industry to identify and produce compelling and vibrant stories that illustrate the value GPRC brings to the region and its people.
The Public Relations Specialist is a strategic planner who will work collaboratively within the External Relations Division and across the organization to ensure content produced is published and leveraged through appropriate GPRC communication tools, both online and in print.
This position will build and maintain internal and external relationships with GPRC’s stakeholders. By highlighting the successes of GPRC’s students, staff, faculty, donors, alumni and stakeholder the presence and relevance of GPRC will be expanded in our stewardship region and across the province
Job Requirements
A Diploma in Communication, Journalism, or related field and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree is desired.
Applicants will have experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite of programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.). Additionally, applicants must have excellent creative thinking skills, be flexible and be self-managed, with the ability to multitask. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
