President & CEO full-time

Global Copper Group Inc. is a junior mining exploration company seeking to fill the position of President & CEO. The recently restructured company aims to develop mining projects from, potentially, the green-field stage, through to feasibility.  This is a permanent full-time position.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will be the face of the organization and champion the goals, vision, values and initiatives and will be charged with the responsibility of:

• Identifying exploration and development projects of merit
• Developing and implement a Strategy and Business Plan
• Oversight of Business Development
• Oversight legal and securities commission governance
• Lead development of investment projects
• Allocation of funds
• Oversight of Company’s Finances
• Oversight of Risk Management
• Targeting outlets for the Company’s products
• Strategic Partner identification and development, lead negotiations
• Oversight legal and securities commission governance
• Implementation of commercial production decisions

Minimum requirements

• 15 or more years’ experience in the mining and exploration business
• 10 years or more experience in assessing projects for mining investment
• Multilingual skills desired as the mining industry is an international platform, and international communications are frequent
• Willing to travel extensively
• Vast experience in mining and exploration technology
• Previous experience in Latin America and Africa
• Excellent leadership abilities
• Project management experience
• Experience in risk assessment and the mitigation process
• Experience in business development
• Experience as a director in the mining and exploration environment
• Experience in various commodities (precious metals, base metals and bulk commodities)
• Post-graduate degree in Geosciences plus mining investment related degree
• Demonstrated proficiency in public speaking
• P. Geo or equivalent

Salary & Benefits

• Annual salary of CAD $100,000 - $120,000
• Vacation Pay - 4% of earned gross wages pursuant to Employment Standards Act
• Eligible to receive an annual performance bonus
• Stock options
