Job Description

The qualified candidate will thrive in a fast-paced agency and have a passion for consumerism, particularly food, fashion, health & wellness, home decor and appliances.  Thinking creatively is what drives you! This senior level role is responsible for contributing to the business overall by overseeing a portfolio of accounts, managing and mentoring a junior team and contributing to the development of new business.

What to look forward to

  • Leading and managing a team of PR professionals and account managers, providing career counsel, professional development support, mentoring and performance reviews

  • Develop public relations/social media strategies to meet clients' goals and objectives

  • Budget planning, forecasting and management

  • Manage client relationships, lead calls, provide strategic counsel/guidance to clients and to team members, monitor and ensure results

  • Participate in new business development - proposal & presentation development

  • Organic growth year over year on current client roaster

  • Stay up-to-date with world news and events, and emerging trends as they relate to the PR industry, our clients, their business objectives and communities

  • Championing the agency values and brand

  • Developing senior press relationships and managing contacts with key commentators, industry spokespeople and sector influencers

  • Formulating business strategy

  • Overseeing PR campaigns from creative brief to implementation and delivery

  • Analysing PR outcomes and interpreting data

What we’re looking for

  • Entrepreneurial spirit - someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done!

  • Senior leadership and management skills within a PR agency

  • Expertise at handling a range of media to place products, grow brands or pitch for new customers

  • Excellent project management skills with strong organisational, planning and budgeting skills

  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Ability to analyse complex data and interpret it for a range of audiences

  • Strong negotiation and delegation skills

  • Extensive experience of PR within the CPG sector

  • Proven track record of successfully implemented PR campaigns for a range of clients

  • Commercial acumen and experience of developing new business

  • Management experience of developing star performers and overseeing performance
