Position Overview:

LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Marketing Writer in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Marketing team, you will be responsible for writing online copy to drive results for LawDepot products and websites. This is a full time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Craft copy for landing pages and checkout pages, including product descriptions and CTAs
  • Write copy and subject lines for promotional email campaigns to increase click-through rate
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to brainstorm the direction and goals of content initiatives across multiple channels and platforms
  • Identify new content opportunities and ideas in support of company objectives
  • Contribute to other projects, as needed, such as PPC or retargeting campaigns

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Business or Digital Media
  • Experience with copywriting, advertising, branding or business writing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to communicate complicated legal topics in a way that all readers can understand
  • Adaptable, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to balance multiple projects
  • Understanding of usability and design best practices
  • Understanding of E-Commerce and digital trends
  • Ability to take feedback and devise solutions
  • Strong portfolio of past work samples
