Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you are responsible for providing overall generalist support to the Marketing and Communications team by organizing and executing the marketing needs of the College while maintaining and promoting brand policy and visual identity standards for NBCC. You also facilitate media buying and gathering information for newsprint, radio, television, internet advertising, magazine placement, etc.  Based on media research conducted, the Marketing Coordinator reports on results, expenditures, deliverables, campaign performance, and other information related to current and future projects and provides recommendations for placement and coordinates the creative process for content.

Specific duties include but are not limited to: assisting the Director with the creation of an action plan that aligns with the overall strategic marketing plan, coordinating marketing material for inclusion in the marketing plan from the teams’ specialists, assisting with the development of marketing material for advertising campaigns and special projects, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to coordinate campus campaigns that promote programs and services offered by NBCC, working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to support members, on an as needed basis, on all communications, marketing and promotional materials, projects and other work undertaken by the department.

Required qualifications for this opportunity include a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or business administration, or a two (2) year diploma in marketing, public relations or business administration and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Excellent writing and verbal communications skills; ability to establish and meet deadlines and work in a team collaborative environment. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment. Demonstrated in-depth experience in media buying and experience in project coordination is considered an asset.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $38,766 to $54,132.

This role will involve travel within the province and a valid driver’s license is required.
