Position Overview: This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their strategic communication, creative marketing, and collaboration skills. You will have the opportunity to further develop your strong relationship-building and leadership skills as you collaborate with many talented people inside and outside the organization to achieve our common goals; openness, transparency and ensuring the best use of tax payer’s dollars. This position will provide you with autonomy, as you will be required to take the lead on the development and implementation of the communication and public engagement strategies for the organization. This role will be assigned many high priority responsibilities, so the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the organization and lead meaningful assignments through to completion.
In addition to playing a key strategic business role in our organization, as leader of your small team of two communication experts you will also participate in the day to day operations and implementation of communication strategies, projects and tasks. As you seek to tackle this diverse portfolio of challenging and interesting communication assignments, you will have the opportunity to build upon your marketing and sales skills in many areas of communications such as; implementation of strategic marketing and sales plans for various business units, brand design and management, development of marketing and advertising materials, website and social media development, budgeting, media relations and collaboration with partner organizations and stakeholders.
