We don’t have brick and mortar stores, so we’re able to deliver remarkable value on beautiful, modern furniture. Because of this, we’re growing like crazy and we need a few more hands on deck. We’re looking for a Junior Copywriter to help us delight our customers with clever words.

You will significantly impact the Article business by:

• Writing ads for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google Adwords, and other types of display advertising.
• Working with our product team to write product descriptions that accurately convey the fabulous experience of owning our articles.
• Writing copy for our organic social media channels.
• Contributing to creative brainstorms for larger projects when necessary.

What does a day in the life of a Junior Copywriter at Article look like?

You’ll work with our senior copywriter to deliver copy across all channels. You’ll get to develop ideas for our social media ads on channels like Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, write product descriptions, and write copy for our organic social media channels — among other things. We’re also looking for someone with the drive to seek out other creative opportunities.

When you’re not heads-down with writing copy, you’ll sharpen your pencil by contributing to brainstorm sessions and keeping up with industry trends in furniture, interior design, advertising, and marketing.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years experience as a copywriter. You don’t need to be a seasoned pro, but you do need to know your way around a creative brief.
• A portfolio that shows off your copy chops. We want to see more than just great writing — show us concepts and ideas. (We’re totally open to seeing spec work too!)
• You must have sleeves that roll up. We’re looking for someone who wants to write, create, and dream big.
• You know english, inside and out. You must have a strong grasp of writing rules, and the ability to quickly google the things you don’t know.
• Ability to write long copy and short. You know how to craft an 8 word headline, a 140 character tweet, and a 500 word blog post.
