Position – Graphics Designer
An established company for over 30 years, LivingWorks Education is a suicide intervention training company that trains community helpers of all kinds to work in this intervention context. Operating as a private social enterprise corporation, it employs all of the financial discipline, innovation and determination of any private sector business to achieve its mission.

We have experienced continued growth and as a result, have a full-time position available in our Calgary based office.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish & maintain corporate graphic standards and develop documentation, tools and templates
  • Recommend print, web, email and multimedia strategies and provide production support
  • Manage graphic assets, organizing digital files and archiving discontinued assets
  • Prepare printed materials for program delivery
  • Create new product codes ensuring they are updated in all respective areas
  • Responsible for accurate tracking of all files related to program development
  • Provide design options for consideration in the development of program materials and communication documents maintaining brand standards
  • Using knowledge of type styles, size and layout patterns provide visually appealing drafts of requested materials
  • Ability to edit graphics and photos using pixel or bitmap editing, masking or image retouching
  • Collaborate with editors, developers, and writers
  • Ability to work within the structures of the website to post documents as required
  • Plan & organize program production schedules
  • Coordinate logistics and program delivery requirements including timelines, resources, schedules in order to serve customers
  • Ensure products are produced in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with agreed budgets and schedules
  • Assist VP Strategic Development in scoping and defining new products and bringing new products to market

  • Program knowledge including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Word &
  • MS Excel
  • Knowledge of InCopy would be considered an asset

  • 3+ years experience
  • Diploma or degree and demonstration of related courses & training
