Key Responsibilities:

• Continually develops and maintains consistent visual identity standards for both Aspen Properties and the Calgary Tower
• Delivers on company requirements for graphic and layout creations in print, web and digital
• Partners with internal and external team members to understand needs and gather information in order to create and design:
  • Internal communication and materials including templates, newsletters, presentations and internal website
  • External communication materials: tourism and leasing collateral including image development, proposal development, submissions, logos, newsletters, brochures, maps, advertisements, invites, signage, posters, external websites and presentations
  • Special event communication for tenant, broker, Calgary Tower and employee events
• Provides the most effective design approach in accordance with budget and time considerations
• Works with photographs and coordinates photographers as needed for special events
• Maintains current technical knowledge through workshops, review of professional publications and participation in professional events and associations
• Special projects as required
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Portfolio required
• University degree or College diploma in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Web Design or equivalent combination and/or related experience
• 2+ years Graphic Design experience in a client service provider setting
• Strong proficiency in Creative Suite 5 - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat
• Strong proficiency in a variety of Content Management Systems
• Familiarity with CSS and HTML
• Strong proficiency in MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Social media experience including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
• Video editing experience an asset
• Enthusiastic with a highly creative and artistic mindset
• Superior customer service skills
• Outstanding graphic, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to exercise sound business judgement
• Ability to work under impending deadlines with changing priorities
• An eye for aesthetics in presentation materials
• An organized self starter with excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Honesty and integrity combined with a high level of initiative and dedication
• Successful Police Information and Criminal Record Check
