Skills & Responsibilities

~Character~

• results-oriented and takes full responsibility and ownership over all projects regardless of scope
• strong communicator amongst engineers and non-engineers alike
• works well independently and is self-reliant when it comes to solving problems, technical or otherwise

~Technical Skills~

• 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience
• a computer science or engineering degree
• HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript
• Modernizr, Angular, RequireJS, Grunt
• Advanced JavaScript: OO, MVC, AJAX, jQuery
• Experience with responsive architectures, separation of style from content and cross browser compatibility
• MySQL or relational databases
• Skilled with source control systems (ie Git)
• Familiarity with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
• Expertise with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS)
• Experience in code optimization (queries, field indexing, server response times, page load times, …)
• Experience working with 3rd party APIs (eg Google Maps, Places)
• Insists on code standards, maintainability, and documentation
