Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator (DMC) to support the Marketing & Nutrition team. The DMC is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Get Cracking brand’s dynamic digital and social platforms including website, apps, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and search. The DMC will assist the Marketing Officer in creating a compelling and engaging content development strategy for the Marketing & Nutrition team at Egg Farmers of Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and schedule social media content to ensure copy is relevant and on brand
  • Monitor engagement on social media channels and respond as required
  • Report monthly on social media efforts, campaigns, and overall performance by channel
  • Identify and propose innovative ideas to communicate and engage on social media
  • Create, edit, and schedule social content for EFC’s EggcentricTV app
  • Analyze user behaviour data across all digital and social platforms to identify opportunities
  • Oversee website development projects from briefing to completion
  • Coordinate SEO and SEM strategy to ensure strong search presence
  • Develop and execute editorial calendars for Get Cracking’s monthly newsletter
  • Coordinate effective photo and video shoots and maintain the image bank
  • Collaborate and engage with provinces to share learnings, best practices, insight and to provide social media support
  • Assist Marketing & Nutrition team members with campaign research, planning, and execution
  • Collaborate and liaise with external agencies and vendors
  • Develop and deliver presentations and participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences as required

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of marketing theories, principles and best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and be results oriented
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, or other photo editing tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics/Facebook Insights
  • Superior attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with a focus in marketing / advertising / communications
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing social media accounts for companies or brands
  • Proficient in oral and written communication in English. French is considered an asset
