This new, hands-on, working role will allow the successful applicant to create the digital marketing strategy and build the department to directly contribute to the company’s growth and success. Reporting to the Vice President, the Digital Marketing Manager will create and drive the company’s Digital Marketing Plan and integrate this within the Company’s overall Marketing and Sales Plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s websites, social media marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click campaigns, and eCommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic development and execution of digital marketing campaigns on platforms such as Google AdWords and Facebook, ensuring that best practices and processes are followed

  • Perform ongoing campaign management which includes daily monitoring and updates, weekly assessment and optimization

  • Plan, produce, manage, and measure effectiveness for website strategy

  • Develop content strategies to support website requirements

  • Manage data feeds and updates for the websites

  • Initiate, develop and maintain the analytics for the marketing campaigns, websites, and social media channels

  • Establish key performance indicators and provide campaign performance summaries with insights and recommendations on marketing activities (e.g., digital advertising, social and email)

  • Develop and execute social media campaigns in accordance with the marketing calendar

  • Develop social media calendars, content and manage scheduling

  • Respond to customer comments and questions through the social media channels, ensuring excellent customer service and consistent brand experience

  • Responsible for email management

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Post secondary education in Business, Communications or Technology with a technical marketing/communications/advertising/digital/analytics focus

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail marketing & advertising experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing online channels

  • Certification in digital analytics and digital advertising platforms such as Google AdWords or Facebook (asset)

  • Advanced knowledge of web development and user experience principles

  • Intermediate CMS experience (preferably WordPress or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook

  • Proficiency using digital analytics tools, particularly Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Ad Manager and YouTube Analytics

  • Knowledge of data exploration and visualization best practices, statistics and how to assess statistical significance, various attribution modeling models, designing for data visualization

  • A strong social media presence with a passion for relationship building

  • Extensive experience with Shopify and Amazon

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, passionate and driven to succeed

  • A strong leader with proven ability to take ownership of a project and positively collaborate with a team to see it through to a successful completion

  • Excellent communicator; both verbally and in writing

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail

  • Exceptional organizational skills and can successfully manage multiple priorities

  • Read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Ideally the successful candidate will work out of the Head Office in Carberry, MB. However, applicants working remotely from other areas will be considered, depending upon qualifications and experience.
