Position Requirements
ICBC is seeking an experienced Digital Content Advisor. We are looking for a talented professional who understands content strategy and creation, customer-centric communication for large corporations and/or government, and succeeds working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Digital Content Advisor is responsible for the production, delivery and governance of content across ICBC channels. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading large content initiatives with cross-functional teams while providing strategic advice, support and constructive feedback to colleagues, from senior leaders in other divisions to writers, designers and developers.

If you have a highly attuned understanding of best practices in content strategy, enjoy being creative and collaborative, and have experience in leading complex content-driven projects, this is an excellent opportunity.

Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Consults with business areas and provides expert advice to develop content plans to support business priorities and user needs
  • Leads complex content projects and initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables and accountabilities, from planning through to delivery
  • Partners with colleagues in User Experience, Communications, Marketing, and Information Services to create and deliver effective digital content that meets corporate standards and guidelines
  • Advocates for customer experience, digital best practice and brand standards on all digital channels and on cross-functional teams
  • Maintains awareness of emerging digital content strategy trends, tools and technologies and identifies opportunities to support business priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of writing and editing for digital and other channels including print, intranets, IVR and call scripts, and for multiple audiences
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of user-centered design and information architecture
  • Knowledge of complex communications planning and project implementation
  • Knowledge of website content management systems
  • Knowledge of online measurement strategies, tools and technologies
  • Highly-developed interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills in order to work with stakeholders at all levels and external vendors

Position Information
Successful candidates would have several years of related experience in Content, Journalism, Communications or User Experience. A degree or certificate in communications, marketing, journalism or digital media would be an asset.
