Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Merchandising, you will create, drive and execute marketing projects and programs. The Creative and Public Relations Specialist supports the execution of sales and marketing plans created by a corporate marketing department for use in the Canadian market, in-house development of “local” marketing initiatives for our retail stores (store region-specific plans) and works with our retail division to develop marketing content for our ecommerce site.

The ideal candidate is nimble and collaborative with experience managing and executing social media initiatives and retail store events.

The position requires a self-starter who can proactively work within a fast-paced environment demonstrating problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate both in writing and through creative with varied audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, present and support production of finished artwork to an

established design and production schedule

  • Develop creative for marketing programs as specified by VP, Merchandising, and meet deadlines
  • Prepare visual presentations for advertising campaigns by designing art and copy layouts
  • Illustrates marketing concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
  • Obtain approval of marketing layouts and concepts
  • Prepare monthly store audit and competition report to ensure marketing programs are relevant and effective
  • Manage and coordinate projects
  • Capture feedback and make recommendations to improve program execution
  • Track and manage a comprehensive marketing project calendar for various region
  • Consolidate and document learning and best practices throughout the fiscal year
  • Build and manage SharePoint access to resources, assets and content for our field teams
  • Coordinate activities with Regional & Support Centre teams
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and support others departments as requested
  • Track and manage Marketing budgets
  • Create content and manage all Social Media platforms
  • Manage and approve Marketing and Visual content for Ecommerce
  • Manage and maintain excellent relations with the Fashion Community

Ideal candidate demonstrates:

  • Strong organizational and analytical and technical skills with experience in project management
  • Strong English writing skills are required; French skills are an asset
  • Strong Communication skills; adept at building relationships within and outside of the organization

Requirements:

  • Marketing post-secondary or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office operating systems
  • Graphic design experience a plus
  • Demonstrated exceptional cross team skills
  • Ability to font, image source, crop and colour correction to images
  • Experience with creating promotions, advertisements, and visuals for retail stores
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple competing timelines
  • Experience negotiating pricing with vendors
