Want to be an integral member of the Top Draw team? Our Content Strategist is the catalyst that informs and drives our web development projects. Collaborate with clients and members of our talented production team to help create meaningful online user experiences.

What you get to do:

  • Conduct thorough research to fully understand each client’s company, industry, customers and business goals; this may include audience identification and prioritization, persona development, competitive analyses, etc., through stakeholder interviews, questionnaires, independent research and analysis
  • Create site plans and information architecture that form the framework for new websites
  • Utilize content strategy tools such as content audits, experience maps and taxonomies to assess and plan effective content pieces
  • Translate all relevant information to production team through milestone handoffs and reviews, and ensure quality control/adherence to content strategy throughout project development
  • Actively participate in internal and external client meetings
  • Write and edit clear, user-focused content that maximizes audience value and conversion rates
  • Development of editorial calendars as needed
  • Work with clients to ensure online content is desirable, usable and shareable
  • Identify opportunities for content testing and measurement
  • Continue to further the critical role of content strategy at Top Draw by researching and/or implementing new tools and best practices

You will have:

  • 3+ years experience in a Content Strategy role for a website development agency or private company
  • 3+ years of facilitation experience
  • Experience in managing strategies, development, distribution and optimization of digital content
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Business Development or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
  • Technical knowledge and experience working with WordPress, including content population (other platforms would be asset as well)
  • Experience and knowledge in web analytics, online marketing, social media, SEO, SEM, PPC, content marketing
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong balance of creative and analytical skills
  • An “ear to the ground” when it comes to industry best practices, plus the ability to translate trends into business opportunities for clients
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities at a fast pace, while ensuring an unwavering commitment to timelines/milestones
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented
