Quarry Bay Investments Inc. is seeking for a Communication Specialist in Calgary for full time position. This job description should not be interpreted to imply that these requirements are the complete comprehensive criteria for the position. Responsibilities

  • Providing office-wide support services such as editing and formatting all documents, reports and presentations
  • Prepare and oversee aspects of Public Engagement for Planning and Development Processes including public open house and presentations
  • Serving as the principal contact and administrative officer for organizing multiple committee meetings, agendas and documentation/information flow for the Board of Directors, taking minutes and maintaining meeting records
  • Working with communication counterparts for content authoring and publishing
    Responding to requests for information from membership, compensation community and other stakeholders, tracking progress and maintaining records
  • Overseeing the Administration of the web site with responsibilities for updating, content development, enhancements, usage monitoring and quality control
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Social Media strategy
  • Facilitate in public relations efforts including: charitable giving and/or company sponsorships, networking as company representative, as well as develop and perform professional business presentations to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in as a Communication Specialist/ Advisor
  • A Degree or equivalent of secondary education relating to Communication Study is preferred
    Exceptional written and verbal communications in English
  • Excellent ability to write and edit correspondence and revise and correct its content, grammar, style, spelling and presentation in both official languages
  • Experience coordinating executive level meetings such as management committees or Board of Directors meetings
  • Experience in operating word processing and presentation software (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from various and multiple sources
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, work as part of a team and individually
  • Real estate experience is preferred
