Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP) is seeking a motivated sales professional to join our team in Surrey, BC. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Business Development Representative will ensure professional and courteous service is provided to maintain a strong relationship between the Company and the Customer.

GEEP is a leader in IT asset management and end-of-life electronics recycling. With a commitment to a sustainable future, GEEP’s mission is to repurpose electronics whenever possible. When refurbishment is not viable, innovative and environmentally friendly recycling processes are used to achieve a zero-landfill objective with maximum recovery of natural resources. GEEP has over 500 employees in 10 locations across the United States, Canada and Central America.

The Business Development Representative will handle all aspects of account development, including prospecting future opportunities, the strategic development of prospects, and meeting and closing of opportunities. The Business Development Representative is also responsible for ensuring that all client requirements are accurately communicated across the organization to ensure a successful implementation.

Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Previous Sales experience with proven growth results would be considered an asset;
  • Experience selling services as well as product;
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent would be preferred;
  • Work experience and knowledge of PC’s, servers, networking gear, data center equipment would be an asset;
  • Highly developed communication skills;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate and organized;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.

Job Duties:

  • Provide customer service by handling phone calls, email requests and walkthrough resellers
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from advertising inquiries, direct mail responses, trade shows, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources;
  • Complete lists that are effective and profitable, and meet or exceed typical conversion rates;
  • Makes outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone or e-mail to sell products and services which result to be productive and profitable;
  • Manage customer orders by recording and entering information into the applicable databases, following up with the customers to facilitate logistics details, handling the financial details including payment and completion of the proper paperwork;
  • Complete statement of work to maximize revenue and meet all applicable organizational requirements;
  • Addresses customer concerns in a professional, productive, and timely manner;
  • Prepares accurate business transactions reports. Sales reports must be completed on a weekly basis;
  • Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings;
  • Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals;
  • Communicate all client requirements to the organizations Account Managers and operational team(s);
  • Develop and implement corporate directed marketing plans, sales targets and monitor that all objectives are met;
  • Compare monthly achievements as compared to forecasted targets;
  • Conduct sales transactions, adhering to established procedures for entering orders, close sales and up-sell when possible;
  • Participate in bid, RFP, and RFQ opportunities when required.
