The Right Fit

SYNNEX Canada is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Business Development Manager with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include developing strategic marketing/ product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments.  The incumbent will be responsible for increasing revenue and profitability of the MICROSOFT Surface product line as well as for seizing market share from all MICROSOFT Surface competitors.   The incumbent will up sell and cross-sell the MICROSOFT Surface product line to resellers, fellow employees and other vendors to achieve and track to quarterly goals as assigned.

Role Responsibilities

The successful incumbent is the main contact at SYNNEX for MICROSOFT Surface product sales, customer and supplier related issues & opportunities within SYNNEX.

  • Responsible for driving and increasing overall MICROSOFT Surface revenue, market-share and reseller breadth
  • Know MICROSOFT Surface products (windows, server and office) & SYNNEX Company vision & mission;  strive to exceed expectations with every partner, every day and to maximize shareowner value
  • Quarterly review with manager and MICROSOFT Surface team to ensure goals are being completed & next quarter’s goals are assigned

Training:

  • Assist in coordinating and participating in SYNNEX’s Sales & Reseller training and activities
  • Attend training’s on MICROSOFT Surface product line
  • Have knowledge of market trends for MICROSOFT Surface product categories, demonstrate competence on MICROSOFT Surface products, reviews trade publications and industry news
  • Attend MICROSOFT Surface  events/conferences as appropriate
  • Serve as the point of contact for all MICROSOFT Surface  communication, which includes:
  • Weekly communication of MICROSOFT Surface promotions to Resellers
  • Work with Resellers and SYNNEX’s Sales to create awareness, drive solution sales and add-on sales & communicate with prospective Resellers the value the SYNNEX provides
  • Create and close business and work with MICROSOFT Surface reps & SYNNEX’s sales reps daily by managing incoming calls from Resellers and SYNNEX Sales and holding weekly team meeting to discuss issues, new products/programs, opportunities, updates
  • Initiate partnership (engagement) efforts between MICROSOFT Surface Sales and SYNNEX’s Sales (field & inside sales)
  • Work with SYNNEX management and MICROSOFT Surface team (Marketing, Technical & Purchasing) on sales plans, goals and initiatives
  • Implement and manage all MICROSOFT Surface programs, including inventory levels including building Reseller relationships and participating in targeted outbound calls on a daily basis; weekly reporting to MS Surface team
  • Call on MICROSOFT Surface Field and Inside Sales Reps to form relationship
  • Provide notification to SYNNEX Sales and Resellers on new MICROSOFT Surface products and/or changes (create documents and follow up calls)

Revenue:

  • Know and understand top Resellers and opportunities. Understand top Resellers buying patterns
  • Follow up on sales & customer requests/issues until resolved in a timely manner
  • Follow up on quotes, bids, and orders and close business where appropriate
  • Utilize data reports to uncover competitive markets, incremental opportunities or lost business

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma (Post- secondary education an asset)
  • Minimum 5 year sales / business development experience or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail & responsiveness
  • Self- starter
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Superior customer relation skills
  • PC Literate (MS Office)
  • Ability to multitask (juggle duties effectively)
  • Extended hours required occasionally
  • Team player
