As the captive finance company of the Audi, Ducati and Volkswagen brands in Canada, VW Credit Canada, Inc., also known as Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance, is a wholly owned subsidiary of VW Credit, Inc. Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance offers a wide range of leasing, retail financing and protection plans expertly tailored to meet the needs of our Customers. Additionally, we provide commercial financing products to Audi and Volkswagen Dealers to support expanding dealership capabilities and enhancing overall operations.

Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is the primary contact between Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance and its dealer clients. This field based position is responsible for developing the retail, lease, wholesale and remarketing relationships with Volkswagen, Bentley and Audi dealers in the assigned area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell retail, lease, wholesale, end of term (remarketing) product offerings of Volkswagen Finance/ Audi Finance. Familiarize dealers with Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance’s (and affiliated dba’s) policies, procedures, forms and finance plans. Provide training and support for the retail, lease and end of term processes. Hold sales meetings as needed. Submit dealer contact reports as requested by the general manager and ensure that dealer visits are conducted on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain account management responsibility and cognizance over Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance’s secured wholesale assets; including new and used vehicles, parts, tools, furniture, fixtures, etc.; while also providing follow-up on vehicle audits to ensure that discrepancies and exceptions are cleared.
  • Resolve wholesale related problems including payment delinquency, billing errors, inventory discrepancies, etc.
  • Input monthly financial statements on watch dealers to maintain accurate financial information database. Continuously monitor the financial position of existing wholesale accounts. Ensure that dealers are within the Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance financial requirements.
  • Counsel dealers on a continuing basis to ensure compliance with operating standards and specific approval contingencies.
  • Conduct annual business review of all wholesale accounts. Conduct equity verification at each wholesale account as needed. Counsel the dealer where changes or improvements are warranted. Develop recommendations for corrective and/or remedial action where necessary.
  • Review monthly sales penetration and account performance with the dealer and finance manager/business manager. Review latest lease and retail programs with the sales and finance departments.
  • Solicit new wholesale business and initiate the development of credit package requests and the coordination of documentation necessary for the adjustment in floor lines as needed to support current sales activity.
  • Maintain an open line of communication between Senior management, National Marketing Consultants, and operations personnel; and provide the primary liaison between the various corporate elements of Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance and the dealer organization.
  • Develop and maintain an effective ongoing business relationship with local Volkswagen and Audi teams to ensure accomplishment of mutual goals and objectives.
  • Assist in wholesale takeovers, equity verifications and other team activities as required to optimize the organization’s performance.
  • Provide a monthly market activity report to the head office, including collection of information and programs from key competitors. Data to be submitted on an on-going basis to ensure Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance’s competitive position.
  • Establish retail, lease and remarketing objectives for the district each year in support of Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance’s business plan. Provide periodic reports on status vs. objective.
  • Provide the primary field contact between corporate remarketing and the dealer organization to ensure optimum return on vehicles coming off-lease. Implement remarketing activities and merchandising programs to minimize costs and maximize dealer involvement and commitment to off-lease vehicles.
  • Stay cognizant of financial industry trends and competitive developments.

Qualifications

Required Experience
3-5 yrs - Professional field or credit related experience within the automotive industry
