Business Development Manager full-time

Tasks:
ABB is seeking a Business Development Manager, to be a part of our SCADAvantage team in Calgary, Alberta.
Reporting to the Director, SCADAvantage, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the areas of:
- Defining and implementing business growth and sales strategies for Canadian and US oil and gas SCADA
- Leading sales pursuits
- Managing customer relationships
- Identifying, qualifying and pursuing new market and customer opportunities in Canada and the US
- Contributing market requirements to the product development team
SCADAvantage is ABB’s global offering for oil and gas SCADA applications, headquartered in Calgary AB Canada. The SCADAvantage group is responsible for the development, product management, and support of SCADAvantage software and related applications for the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical markets through ABB regional centers.
The successful applicant will sell and promote SCADAvantage to new and existing customers throughout the Canadian and US oil and gas markets. In addition, they will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to expand the Canadian SCADA business into new customers, develop markets outside of Alberta, and to increase the level of pull-through business. Key expectations are coordinating all sales opportunities in the specified markets above and improve customer awareness through face to face interaction.
Note: Travel throughout North America will be required
