We are looking for a Business Development Coordinator to work for both The BMW Store and MINI Yaletown, as part of Fields Auto Group. Part time (minimum 25 hrs per week) or full time hours are negotiable. Working from both locations will be required.

Job description:

This role is client-facing and requires someone with an excellent telephone manner, as a large portion of the role is spent speaking to clients over the telephone. This is a fairly new role, and as such there is opportunity for expansion. The ideal candidate will take initiative, be a self-starter, and have a knack for identifying areas of opportunity to contribute value.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Handle all incoming internet leads; log customer information, contact customers with the objective of booking in-store appointments
  • Track and tally leads on a monthly basis providing closing ratios etc.
  • Social media; manage both store's Facebook and Twitter accounts
  • Cover reception on an as-needed basis
  • Event planning on an as-needed basis
  • Track sales delivery reports and checklists
  • Create basic graphics for Facebook welcome and promotional pages, and email blasts
  • Weekly reporting of Customer Service Index to General Manager
  • Database cleanse (semi-annually)
  • Assist General Manager on various projects
  • Oversee and monitor DealerRater.com program
  • Handle invoice payment
  • Conduct follow up on customers who have not purchased (email and phone); track and trend results

The successful applicant will:

  • Ideally have prior dealership experience
  • Have excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Be a self-starter and works well under little supervision
  • Have an eye for identifying areas of opportunity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Be able to keep up to date on BMW and MINI brand information
  • Type 40 WPM +
  • Be an intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Have a creative eye and be able to create basic graphics (Adobe not required)
  • Knowledge of MS Publisher an asset
  • Basic HTML an asset
  • Prior social media experience an asset
