Who you are…
As a Business Development Associate, you will work in close collaboration with our Business Development teams to generate new sales opportunities using telephone and email.  Your target prospects are large brand advertisers and digital agencies and you are responsible for researching and qualifying new business opportunities, persuasively communicating the GlobalWide Media client value proposition, following through with sales material, managing an active pipeline of prospects, coordinating hand-off of qualified leads to sales executives and providing regular status reports.  For certain deals, you will manage the prospect through the full sales process to close.

Key Accountabilities

  • Continuously prospecting for new business via email, LinkedIn and telephone
  • Conducting research & management of an active sales pipeline
  • Provide regular status reports with the goal of generating leads that result in GlobalWide Media sales.
  • Introduce advertisers to the full range of opportunities available through the GlobalWide Media family of solutions
  • Managing the details related to each offer, including data capture and reporting, acquisition and distribution of graphics, campaign testing and reporting results
  • Work with existing clients to expand relationships and up sell them on services offered by GlobalWide Media
  • Build and maintain an intimate knowledge of industry developments to spot trends and opportunities
  • Promote and market GlobalWide Media as a company representative at conferences and business meetings across the globe as required

Role Requirements

  • Account data entry and administration - update campaigns with payouts, creatives and contact information being consistently prompt and punctual with fellow team members and clients
  • Represent GlobalWide Media in an ethical and truthful manner at all times as the front line contact for the company responsible for handling incoming sales inquires
  • Negotiate advertising campaign terms and rates with clients
  • Ensure that client financial accounts are up to date and accurate
  • Ensure that billing is done accurately and in a timely manner each month

  • Confident and polished phone prospecting skills required, including the ability to
  • adapt communication style and message to target audience
  • Exceptional sense of organization and attention to detail, impeccable follow-through
  • Ability to plan work to meet deadlines, especially when faced with competing priorities

Education and Experience

  • Post‐secondary education in business, commerce or marketing
  • Experience working in a fast‐paced, results-oriented entrepreneurial environment with meaningful experience working as part of a sales team
  • Knowledge of internet marketing
  • Fluency in the use of Microsoft Office products, internet research and email are required
  • Experience working with Sales Management software

Additional Requirements

  • Multi-cultural experience and fluency in multiple languages is a plus
