According to CBC, “A study by the University of British Columbia and Harvard Business School, published [in July 2017] in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, has found buying time makes people happier than buying material things.”

As Public Relations Coordinator for zenGOT™, you will get the word out to consumers (especially Baby Boomers and Gen Xers), about this valuable service that can make their lives happier by freeing up their time. As our forthcoming video asks: “What would you do with your free time?”

You will do hands-on public relations work in the first Canadian cities where zenGOT is launched in fall 2017, primarily in B.C. and Alberta. Then, as zenGOT rolls out in additional cities throughout North America in 2018, your role could evolve to full-time overseeing a team of local PR people.

In addition to social media and traditional media relations, your work will be at the grassroots community level and involve guerrilla marketing. You may submit weekly articles to community newspapers, have a team handing out postcards at festivals and fairs from the PNE to Pride Days, have tables at local markets and community events, arrange to put up lawn signs, and more. You will come up with – and, more importantly, carry out — creative, low-cost public relations and marketing which could range from contests to coupons to classifieds, partnerships to press releases to podcasts, banners to blogs to bulletin boards, and more.

The Public Relations Coordinator position pays $25 CAD per hour to start. Preference will be given to applicants living near Vancouver, B.C. or Calgary, Alberta.
