Position Details:
1195733 AB Ltd is looking to fill a full-time Business Development Manager position of approximately 40 hours/week. This is an exciting time to join the business as we are seeking to expand our trading business to South East Asia markets. The position commences on November 15, 2020 and expires on November 10, 2021 with a possible renewal.
The post will be remunerated at a level commensurate to Business Development Manager (NOC Code 0124), in Vancouver, BC. The pay rate is $ 37.00 to 40.00/hour depending on experience. This does not include non-monetary elements, such as housing costs, travel expenses and other benefits.
The post’s duties involve effective establishment and administration of Greenfarmers Trading 213 Ltd., a new Trading business in Vancouver, BC, under 1195733 AB Ltd, and Fruits and Greens Ltd, Vietnam. The business functions to perform organic produce trading activities, principally between Canada and Vietnam. The post primarily focuses on leveraging technologies in supply chain and e-commerce, aiming to transform current Customer Experience journey in consuming organic produce, feedback loop, food safety and overall wellness post COVID-19.
The post, therefore involves intensive understanding and practices in business development, specifically: research and development; marketing and communications also to cover trade-fairs or promotional personnel attending trade conventions; business activity coordination such as management consulting and quality compliance; recruiting as and when required. The post reports directly to the Director, and shall maintain solid communications with Vietnam business partners.
The responsibilities
The successful candidate will have
A post-secondary degree in interdisciplinary management, preferably with practices of Digital Marketing and South-East Asia and Vietnam market.
2-3 years of experience as a middle manager in business development, communications and marketing are desirable.
Skills & Experience
Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
Formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning necessary for convention attendance.
Marketing Expertise
Lead Customer Experience journey development, direct and evaluate current marketing strategies for target market segments
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the design, development and maintenance of digital marketing campaigns to manage the organization's digital presence
Coordinate the activities of firms and Sales departments, develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services
Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations. Experience in producing Press Release, establishing media & PR listings.
Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events. Experience in digital distributions (e-Marketing, social media marketing, trade shows attending, networking and evaluating)
Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings. Experience in digital marketing data analysis.
Salary and benefits
The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $37.00 to $40.00, depending on experience, plus applicable vacation pay.

Initial Hire Transportation: One-way initial hire economy class airline ticket with routing Point of Origin to Point of Hire
Initial Hire Relocation Allowance: The expatriate employee might receive a relocation allowance to assist in defraying the costs associated with extra luggage. This will be paid upon initial hire and payment will be based on the employee’s point of origin and contract status.
Housing: Suitable furnished accommodation will be provided free of charge.
Initial Contract: The initial employment agreement will be for a period of 12 or 24 consecutive months and will be renewed thereafter upon mutual agreement by the Company and the employee
End of Service Indemnity: Two (2) week pay for each year of service completed
Additional Bonuses:
End of Contract Bonus (Nil to Four week pay) for each year of service completed
Contract Renewal Bonus (Nil to Four week pay) for each year of service completed
Sign-On Bonus.
Annual Leaves, Holidays and Other Leaves:
a) Thirty (30) to thirty six (36) calendar days annual paid vacation
The Annual Leave Transportation (Economy Class Round Trip Ticket) will be provided from Point of Hire to Point of Origin. Official Holidays (10-18 days, depending on employee’s religious observation)
b) Emergency (Compassionate) Leave: The leave with pay is seven (7) days and the employee will not be provided with the ticket. Acceptable documentary evidence should be furnished when application is made.
Medical Care Benefits:
Free medical care, including drugs and medications associated with such treatment would be provided to all employees. Emergency dental care will be provided for employees as stipulated in their employment contract.9. Termination / End of Contract Benefit:The employee must inform the Company at least sixty to ninety calendar days prior to the effective date of the proposed termination. Regular employee shall be entitled to severance benefits up to 15 days for the first four (4) years of continuous service, and 30 days for each subsequent year of continuous service.
