Principal Accountabilities:
The position will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager in the comprehensive management of the Innovation Portfolio to achieve growth targets.  Responsibilities include assisting with: developing the 3 year innovation pipeline, ideating against consumer insights and trends, competitive monitoring, coordinating consumer research materials, developing and executing innovation plans, forecasting innovation sales, profitability and expenditures (budget management), participating in cross functional teams to develop and commercialize successful new product innovation & day to day management of team priorities and ad hoc requests.

Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience across a wide breadth of audiences including Senior Management
o Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
o Lifelong learner with passion for deep consumer insights/connection
o Strong leadership skills – ability to manage a cross-functional team and many stake holders
o Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation with creative problem solving / innovative solutions approach
o Project management experience (timelines, budgets)
o Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales and income results
o Superior planning coupled with outstanding analytical abilities
o Ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment
o Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Experience with P&Ls/Cost accounting
o Willingness to be a part of a high performing team that works hard and has fun!

Education:
- Post secondary education – preferably Commerce (B. Com) or Business (B.BA)

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 - 18 months experience working in a professional, corporate environment
  • Marketing experience preferred (Recent grads with “rich” coop experience welcome)
