Resonance is leading advisor on tourism, real estate and economic development that shapes the future of countries, cities and communities around the world. We’re a dynamic interdisciplinary team of futurists, planners, strategists, storytellers and designers based in Vancouver, Montreal and New York that has big ideas about the future of cities, neighborhoods, hotels and resorts. We are currently advising clients in more than 15 different cities and destinations – from creating new brand identities for luxury resorts in Mexico and Hawaii, to tourism development strategies for cities like Tucson and Portland, to the planning of complex mixed-use developments in New York.

We’re seeking an Account Manager (AM) with experience in real estate, hospitality, tourism and/or other related lifestyle/leisure industries to join our team.

The AM reports to the Director of Client Services and is key to maintaining the relationship between Resonance and its clients while also managing the workflow of projects for their clients. The AM works as the liaison between the client and the creative team to ensure the client’s needs and goals are met and assumes responsibility for the growth, management, retention, and satisfaction of a portfolio of key accounts. The AM will be assisted by the Studio Coordinator who will manage timelines with the team of designers, programmers and writers.

The AM has excellent people skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of personalities. They develop senior-level client relationships and be regarded as a trusted advisor; they demonstrate marketing ability to lead clients both strategically and tactically.

The AM is responsible for keeping and updating a Weekly Project Status Report. Upon conclusion of a project, the AM is responsible for assisting with the collection of hours and all external costs associated with the project in order to prepare a job for billing.

The AM helps create briefs and reviews and present concepts, layouts, and proposals to the client for approval. When the client requests changes, the AM communicates feedback and direction to the creative team. The AM works with the creative team to find the most strategically creative expression of the brief and the feedback.

The AM will also work with the Director of Client Services to identify potential new business opportunities and assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals and the development of strategic marketing and communication plans.

  • Prepares Strategic Creative Briefs for new client projects.

  • Identifies key deliverables, creates timelines and assigns responsibilities.

  • Motivates, leads and manages internal teams to develop and manage marketing programs that meet clients' business objectives.

  • Schedules and leads project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants.

  • Provides management ability to lead internal teams to prioritize their work and perform at the highest level.

  • Administers the day-to-day execution, analysis, management, and communication of client revenue activity and post-care sales support.

  • Executes projects with a focus on success and a high level of profitability.

  • Tracks and reports on progress of project against project critical path.

  • Seeks new business relationships and endeavors to expand existing account relationships.

  • Learns new technologies quickly and adapts to changes in product, pricing, and implementation processes.

  • Helps developers/designers where needed.

  • Has a strong attention to detail.

  • Keeps current on client organization's technology and industry, and shares knowledge with department, company, and clients.

  • Manages project resources, including assets from client and internal documents.

  • Communicates availability of resources clearly to all members of the team.

  • Continues to train and develop knowledge of new technologies.

  • Researches and shares with colleagues new emerging technologies, applications and awesome design, and the opportunities to integrate them to our projects.
